Vending Machines

Well today started off like any other Monday. I woke up at 7:55 and made it to class by 8:03 (impressive right?) Then I had my work out class... and then Pychology. Well today in psychology our teacher asked us which was more common, death by shark attacks or vending machines? Of course we all said Sharks Duh! Well we were "wrong". She said more people die from vending machine accidents than shark attacks. She said "Think about that next time your candy gets stuck and you decide to shake the machine to free it." I didnt think much of it at the time just that it was really random (and I think an urban legend type thing). I never use them so I just kinda blew it off.
Well, later in the day I am sitting in math and I decide skittles sound really good. And I just happened to have 85 cents to buy them after class. So I stop at the vending machine, put in my change and press E7.... and they get stuck..... At this point I am talking to Derek on the phone. He says just shake it. So I look around, no one is watching, so i start hitting the machine. It moves a little but still stuck by just the very corner. I hang up the phone so I can hit harder. Then this girl comes up to me. She starts talking to me and trying to encourage me or something. I feel like a total retard hitting a machine for a lousy bag of skittles. Meanwhile I am thinking "just don't die, beacuse that would be too ironic." Finally I surrendered to the candy so I wouldn't be late for english. But all that for one little bag of candy.
