Snow!

This morning I was watching General Conference with my roommates and

we saw that it was snowing! As soon as conference ended we threw on our coats

and boots and ran outside to play and take pictures!

Usually I am not very excited for the first snow of the year but I decided its

never going to change so I should just embrace it :)

We had a hard time finding anyone willing to stand out in the snow long enough to take our picture but finally someone did.

Kirsten couldn't resist shoving some snow in Brooke's face!

She wanted to have a snowball fight and she got one.

Don't Drink and Drive!

Well this morning my mom came in my room and said, "You know that dent you've had in your car? Well you don't have to worry about it anymore." (The dent was a pretty small one behind my rear driver tire that was there when we bought the car.) So i said, "Who hit it?" She proceeded to tell me that she didn't know who it was but a 17 year old girl was driving drunk late last night and hit my car and Tamika's mom's car, both of which were parked on the street in front of my house. The girl had just dropped of her friend before this happened. She of course went to jail. One of our neighbors actually watched it happen. My dad got up to take some pictures...

Here is the back... her car had to be towed out and I guess it was pretty stuck.

Now for the damage... its not such a tiny little dent anymore! `

She hit it pretty hard considering she had already hit a car 5 feet away!

The metal even bent over the fuel door!

The damage was not quite as bad to Tamika's mom's car but even hers isn't driveable.

She hit her rear tire and bent it out pretty bad and scratched up the sides a little.

Looks like she gets to stay longer than expected.

oops...

Well... this morning I woke up a bit late, showered, and rushed to class only to find no one was there. I was so confused. There were no notes saying class was cancelled. Finally I rememebered class was cancelled so we could go meet with her about one of our projects! I felt so dumb but at least now I can finish getting ready :)

Oh and.... I forgot to post these.... Connor and I watched Chuck on 3-D Monday and we are rockin the sweet glasses!

Hair cut

Well on a little bit of a happier note I got a haircut today and I love it!

Victims!!

Saturday my roommate Sarah and I took advantage of an awesome extra credit opportunity for government. We went to the fire station to play victims for a training class. We got all made up with different wounds. Sarah had a broken leg....

I had a black eye....

and a big gash on my arm...

There were 3 other girls as well. One had a gash across her forhead and internal problems, one had a big rod thing through her hand and one was in shock. Basically what we did was act like we were in an earthquake. We went in this room and knocked over tables and chairs. We turned off all the lights and hid around the room. Then they would send in the rescue team. ( the people training to be emergency response people) They would come in and find us and take us out of the room to get medical help. We were supposed to make it feel as real as possible so there was a lot of screaming and stuff. It was a lot of fun but I hope to never be in that situation for real! Sorry if the pictures gross you out remember its just makeup :)

Christmas Tree

Today Rissa and I put up our little Christmas tree and decorated it! She put the lights on... It only took two tries. The first time she ran out in the middle so she tried again again and got it!

We didn't have a little star or angel or anything so we had to improvise.

This is our little Flounder tree topper.

We used mini green bulbs, red icicles, and disney characters!

It looks a bit lopsided but we still love it.

Colds

So this weekend I started getting sick. I had a sore throat for a while and now I just have a stuffy/runny nose. I took some Nyquil last night and went to bed at 10. Well around 5am I woke up and could not fall asleep again. My nose kept running every time I laid down. It was too late to have more Nyquil. Finally I gave up and took a shower. Well I decided something needed to be dome about this cold. I wanted to take a bubble bath but didnt have any bubbles. So this afternoon I went to buy bubble bath at walmart and I discovered an amaizing invention....

Its a bath salt for colds and sinus congestion. It smelled like Vick's Vapor Rub and that always helps, so I figured it was worth a shot. That was the most relaxing part of my day, even though my cold didn'y go away it felt so nice and it cleared it up while I was in there.
